Project Reference B-1 : Environmental Events, Wildlife Clubs & Woodland Scheme

Faughan Valley Landscape Partnership deliver many projects in order to help people engage with the heritage on their doorsteps. In order to increase the knowledge and appreciation of the heritage of the Faughan Valley area within its local communities and to visitors, we run a series of annual heritage events which is advertised in the Faughan Valley Heritage Events Calendar which will be widely distributed.  The events will include natural, built and cultural heritage. They will range from small guided walks to larger celebration events/festivals.  Check out the Events Calendar on our home page.

Faughan Valley Wildlife Clubs for young people led by volunteers and supported by our staff have been set up around the Valley.  These groups have benefited from equipment funded by Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2007 -2013 through Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Derry City Council and Heritage Lottery Fund.

For more information on events, community or school projects please contact Annie Mullan, 028 71337498 email annie.mullan@derrycity.gov.uk
